Construction
Hassle-free, you'll be able to erect your kitset shed in no time at all. Every Strongbuilt shed comes with engineer approved plans which you'll need for a building permit construction. Pole and timber sizing is determined by the location where your Strongbuilt shed is to be built and the wind and snow rating as specified buy your local authority.
Components
Poles
All Strongbuilt sheds utilise GoldTan H5 treated poles. Made from high density radiata pine, the GoldTan H5 treated poles are used rather than H5 due to them being encased in concrete.
Rafters
Each of the rafters are the highest quality H3 treated No.1 grade timber. Cut into the poles for a stable and secure joint, the rafters are secured with galvanised bolts and plates for long life.
Purlins
Strongbuilt kitset sheds offer a choice between bird-proofing or standard purlin installation. Choosing bird-proofing, you will utilise top-of-the-range joist hangers to ensure the minimum gap is allowed between timber and iron eliminating the space where birds can nest and foul.
Girts
Strongbuilt kitset sheds are one of the strongest around due to the method of construction. Our girts are cut into the poles for extra strength, eliminating the use of flimsy steel brackets.
Bracing
