Introducing the new range of Portable Electrics
Posted 1 April 2022
Portable electric fencing acts as a great solution when it comes to break-feeding: a common grazing and animal management practice. Many farmers use this method to rest the pasture by shifting the fenced area every day or so. By doing this, you can adapt to current growing conditions, adjust paddock sizes and control the amount of feed your animals are getting.
The GOFENCE® Portable Electrics range offers well-designed, durable and easy to use products. Whether it is a permanent or temporary fencing electric solution you are constructing, we have the components to complete your fence line. Come and check out the range in store from the 8th April!

Developed with the help of reputable fencing contractors allowed us to get the invaluable feedback we needed to provide the best tool that should in every farmer’s and fencer’s tool box.

Passing The Batten
Posted 8 January 2018
There won't be too many men out there that can say they met their wife on a fence line - Mat Cave however is one man that can! Meeting his future wife, Raynae, whilst working on a fencing job - she was the daughter of the clients - it's fair to say fencing and fence lines have played a big part in Mat's life. Fencing has also played a large role in Cave family history, and the skill set required has been passed down through the generations. Now third generation Mat is holding the 'batten' and using all the knowledge and training provided to him by his grandfather, Richard (Dick), whilst running his own fencing contracting business MJ Cave Contracting Ltd in Hawke's Bay.

‘Hoppin’ Along Nicely
Posted 2 June 2017
Heavy rain coupled with a biting wind are less than ideal conditions when you are in the middle of the busiest time of year, harvesting the crop you have nurtured for the past six months. However, those conditions were exactly what Brent McGlashen and his team at Mac Hops were working in when we visited them in Motueka recently. When he received a panicked call from one of his workers asking him to come down to the orchard straight away, Graeme Hodges didn't know what he was going to find — a full row of apple trees lying on the ground wasn't one of the potential scenarios he had considered whilst rushing to the scene. In all his time in the pipfruit industry, spent on or around orchards, he had never seen a full row collapse to the ground. He is now making changes to ensure it's not something he'll see again.
