What Timber Treatment do I need?


H3 Treated Outside (above ground)

For wood exposed to the weather but not in contact with the ground. For use in such applications as decking, fencing, cladding, fascia, window joinery and exterior structural timber.

H4 Treated Outside (in ground)

For wood exposed to the weather and in contact with the ground. For use in such applications as retaining walls and landscaping timber.

H5 Treated Outside (in ground)

For wood exposed to the weather and in contact with the ground and damp conditions. For use in such applications as structural piles, retaining walls, landscaping timbers, foundations and water logged areas.

H6 Treated Outside (submerged)

For marine use. Wharf piles and fenders, marine and jetty components which are regularly immersed in seawater or estuarine ground. Please note; H6 products do not carry a guarantee or warranty. These products are treated in accordance with NZS 3640 and the chemical content as part of this requirement is discussed with each customer. However the exact conditions of use, the environment where the products may be used and any fabrication methods that may be involved, are all unknown and factors that Goldpine has no direct control over, meaning that Goldpine cannot give a guarantee or warranty under those circumstances.
